Holiday in Hokkaido

I wrote this in the snow for everyone, haha, yes, i know i'm a nerd! :) But you love me..or else you woudn't be wasting your time reading about my life! Now leave me comments please!

The view from the plane! How beautiful is that?!

well, we definatly started off our vacation with a scare! Sarah and missed the first train at 4:34 and the next one wasn't until 5:10, we barely made it on our 7am flight!! So 8 of us, Sarah, Sara, Lesley, Amy, David, John, Devin and I, flew an hour and a half North, to Hokkaido for 6 days, 5 nights. We didn't do much the first day, bc none of us got any sleep having to get up for a 7am flight!! Sarah and I somehow got lucky with a huge room with 3 beds, so we all just chilled and had pizza and wine...The next day we got up and went to the historical village, which was pretty much an outdoor museum of 60 historical Japanese and Western style buildings from the Meiji and Taisho eras, including homes, farmhouses, a shrine, a church, newspaper office, post office, police box, a school, a brewery..etc, all how they would have looked in the past.

Here is Sarah and Devin in the police box This an old classroom. Sarah's sleeping through my lesson!
Playing soccer on icy ground..not a good idea..haha this was taken right before i completely busted my ass! (Sorry mom, i said ass!)

HAHA, too funny of a pic not to post. This was in the bathroom, directions how to pop a squat!

That night, we went to the Sapporo beer museum, where we had all you drink beer and all you can eat lamb and seafood! AMAZING! Then we decided to go to an all you can drink Karaoke bar as if we needed to drink more!

David, Leslie, Sara and Amy testing out the different flavors of beer.
The next day we got up and went to the clock tower, the government building and the University of Hokkaido.

My students told me to go to the University of Hokkaido...so i dragged everyone with me just to see this statue, oops!

Lesley, Amy, Sarah and I went to an onsen (hot spring), and they weren't joking when they said no clothing allowed! They give you TEENY TINY handclothes, you aren't even allowed to bring a towel in..wierd, haha. It was a bit awkward at first just walking around completely naked! There were about 5 different hottub type things. One was semi outside. It was screened in but it was my favorite, bc the water was so hot and the air outside was so cold, so it was perfect! :)
My roomie and were quite excited when it started to snow!!
-6 degrees C=VERY COLDDD The lights in Odori Park at night, were so pretty!!!
we woke up the next morning and went to the fish market, Devin and i had crab soup, yummy!

Then we went on a HUGE ferris wheel for a fantastic view of the city!

We walked around for a while then Devin, John, Amy and I went to play in the snow!

On New years eve we went snow boarding during the day then the "monkey bar" at night. Snowboarding was fun but none of us had done it before, we only practiced on the little slope a few times before Devin convinced us all to go down the hugeeee mountain! we all ended up quite a bit bruised and sore the next day! haha.David, Devin, Sarah and Sara being SKANKSTA's at monkey bar

Sarah and I got a kick out of this guy's shirt! GHETTO!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Playing drinking games on the train, on the way to the airport...
